Sailboat and powerboat owners who love to race know that even minor drag can negatively affect their boat's ability to beat the competition. To help keep their craft in peak racing condition, West Marine offers FW-21 antifouling.
The dual biocide product uses copper and Irgarol to produce an effective thin-film antifoulant ideal for freshwater use. It protects against slime, zebra mussels and other fouling organisms on both sail and powerboats. FW-21 uses a patented, solid, dry lubricant to provide an antifouling that is easily applied and dries in just 15 minutes. Once the coating is dry, boats can be launched immediately. This keeps boaters where they want to be – on the water.
For increased speed, FW-21 contains slicking agents PTFE and Molybdenum Disulfide. They reduce surface friction and allow hulls of racing boats to glide through the water.
