The American Lung Association of Florida is challenging the community to discover the benefits of boating to improve health at its first annual Halifax River Poker Run and Boat Roundup on Saturday, November 4th.

The Halifax River Poker Run supports clean air and healthy lungs, there is nothing more important. And it’s a great ride featuring some of our favorite landings! Join us in supporting the American Lung Association so that everyone can breathe easier!

The American Lung Association works to ensure that everyone can breathe easier. Smoking, air pollution, asthma, emphysema and other lung diseases make breathing difficult for millions of Americans. The Halifax River Poker Ride raises money to fund medical research, advocacy and education to improve the lives of people with lung diseases, and to fight for clean air for everyone.

The $50 entry fee covers a boat, its captain and one crew member. Additional crew members are $25 each. The fee includes a fully supported ride, an official Tee Shirt and an event to remember. Riders are encouraged to raise additional donations from family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. The post-run event at Caribbean Jack's will include the selection of the winning hand, food and fun.
