"The ladies were looking for a social fishing event that included their male guests and friends," notes program founder Betty Bauman, "and this is our answer to that request."

Known for its popular "No-Yelling" fishing seminars for women, "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!"® (LLGF) is hosting a Reel at the Reef special event and tournament at the Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo, FL July 23-24. Reel at the Reef, which is open to ladies, their spouses and guests, begins with a Kickoff Reception with social networking and educational programs on Saturday evening, July 23. Fishing skills refresher stations will be offered, including casting and knot tying. On Sunday, July 24, a fishing tournament is offered, where charter vessels take participants fishing offshore or inshore or they fish from their own boats. An awards presentation follows.

Reel at the Reef differs from the usual seminar series in that it focuses on the open water fishing experience, yet provides a chance for participants, male and female, to refresh fishing skills.

"The ladies were looking for a social fishing event that included their male guests and friends," notes program founder Betty Bauman, "and this is our answer to that request."

LLGF also offers a full schedule of weekend seminars, with classes, hands-on skill station practice, social functions, fishing and fillet instruction, in the Florida locations of Ft. Lauderdale, Stuart, Sarasota and Islamorada. Featured on Inside Edition and more, the series is partially supported by the FWC through the Sport Fish Restoration Program and by partners such as Mercury Outboards, Bass Pro Shops, Ranger, Boat/U.S. Marine Insurance, Gulfstream Int'l Airlines, Lowrance, Viper Bob's Fighting Gimbals, Shakespeare Fishing Tackle and Marine Industries Association of South Florida. Annual partners include Magic Tilt Trailers, Eagle Claw, Maxima, Minn Kota and more.

Registration for Reel at the Reef, which must be made in advance and includes fishing skill refreshers, a Kickoff Reception and fishing tournament, is $75. The full day fishing adventure, with fishing tackle and bait provided, is additional. Rooms are available for special, low rates. Contact: LLGF, P.O.
